New Zealand & Australia

In Australia, students explored many sites including The Sydney Opera House, the rainforest and the native animals: the koala and the kangaroo. They also explored coral reef through snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, learned how to throw a boomerang as well as learned how to do dances and play instruments with native Aboriginal Australians. GEMS students were able to be immersed in the culture of the Maori people in New Zealand, see the Waitomo glow worms exclusive to the country, enjoy the skyline on gondola and luge rides as well as investigate hot springs and geysers of Rotorua.
