Wear your PJs to support kids with Cancer at Connecticut Children's
According to Cancer.org, more than 15,000 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer each year in the United States.
On Friday, December 9th, we are inviting all GEMS students and staff to support the brave kids battling cancer at Connecticut Children's. This event is being held in conjunction with all the other schools in the Bloomfield School District, as well as school districts throughout the state of Connecticut. By wearing your PJs, we will help raise awareness for childhood cancer and show our support for the families who are affected by it. To participate, students and staff should donate $1 or more. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders at Connecticut Children's.
This is a great opportunity to show your support for a worthy cause.
