Congratulations to the recently elected Board of Education, new chairperson Lynette Easmon and returning vice chair Howard Frydman. The other members of the new board, which held its first meeting Tuesday, Nov. 14, are: new Board Secretary Femi Bogle-Assegai, Kimberly Dunbar, Thomas Moore,, Dr. Lisa Simone and Tiffany Mack-Mohammed.

A reception for all recipients was held recently at Dunkin Stadium's Yard Goats Club. OPP's mission is to provide developmental and and job training to Greater Hartford's youth.

BHS boys and girls soccer teams start CIAC state tourney this week:
Monday, Nov. 6 - Girls play Lewis Mills, 4 p.m., at Nassahegan Recreation Complex in Burlington.
Tuesday 11/7: Boys play St. Bernard, 2 p.m., in Norwich.
