Last Monday, Ms. Calabro's and Mr. Taylor's 7th grade social studies classes took a very unique field trip.; The Wintonbury History Society sponsored and narrated a bus tour of 8 historical locations in Bloomfield. The students were able to stop at the Filley House, one of 8 traprock farmhouses in the country, and see the current restoration efforts. This field trip was meaningful for the students as they recently completed a Bloomfield history project in their social studies class researching the very landmarks on this bus tour.

Greetings CAMS Families:
PTO Meeting Thursday, November 21 at 6:30p.m.

Congratulations to all of the 7th and 8th grade Honor Roll and High Honor Roll recipients! The CAMS staff is very proud of Ritag Altareb and Ashawana Weir for having the highest GPAs in their grade and therefore receiving the Principal's Award at yesterday's assemblies.

A special shout out goes to 8th graders Amari Marquis and Hasan Young for their amazing school climate presentation during the November 12th Board of Education meeting!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of our Veterans and their families for their service to our country! Our CAMS assembly filled our hearts with gratitude and respect for your sacrifices.

7th grade students in Mr. Taylor's and Ms. Calabro's social studies classes spent the last two weeks researching historical locations in Bloomfield. Each student created a digital map to showcase their work; within the next month, students will host members of the Wintonbury Historical Society to share their projects and in return, participate in a guided bus tour of the locations they researched.

Good evening,
We have been made aware of racist and derogatory text messages that have been sent to Bloomfield students and community members. It is our understanding that individuals across the country have received these hateful messages, and the Town of Bloomfield and the Bloomfield Board of Education stand united in condemning any and all forms of racism, prejudice, or hate within our community. We are deeply disturbed by the recent remarks involving this racially offensive language, which violates the core values of respect, inclusion, and equality that we hold as a town and school district.
Racist language, behavior, and rhetoric have no place in Bloomfield, and we are committed to ensuring that every member of our community feels safe, valued, and respected.
In conjunction with the Bloomfield Police Department, we are actively responding to these incidents and will work with local, state, and federal authorities to assist in their investigation.

Our CAMS science teacher, Ms. Rodriguez, is a veteran! Today, she taught her academy students an army marching cadence called "I left my home" in preparation for our school's Veterans' Day assembly this Monday.

Good morning Arace Families,
CAMS had a successful first field trip at The Big E! The weather was beautiful and students and staff enjoyed the entertainment, food, shopping, and games. Our kids represented Bloomfield proudly. Our climate theme for the month of September is Relationship and Community Building. Our students and staff created lasting memories that will foster stronger relationships throughout the school year and beyond. I have attached some photos of our day.
Thank you,
Ms. Serafino
